The General Surgery dept. apart from the regular surgical work has been a part of the Trauma team dealing with life threatening Poly Trauma. The minimal access surgery has been the main stay of the dept.

Department of Gastroenterology & Surgical Gastroenterology

The Gastroenterology dept. equipped with sophisticated Diagnostic and Therapeutic Video Endoscopes, Manometry and Capsule Endoscope takes on speciality services such as Variceal banding (EVL), Variceal Sclerotherapy, Ulcer Sclerotherapy, Esophageal Dilatation, Esophageal Metal Stenting, Colonoscopy and Polypectomy.

Capsule Endoscopy or wireless endoscopy is a new addition to the armamentorium of diagnostic imaging. M2A capsule is an ingestible imaging capsule, which acquires video images while moving through the patients gastrointestinal tract, propelled by natural peristalsis until it is excreted. This innovation has helped the clinicians in visualizing the mucosal details of the small intestine in particular and the entire gastro intestinal tract in general. The modality is likely to replace barium studies and the conventional methods of endoscopic visualization of small intestine like push enteroscopy and the Sondes enteroscopy, Capsule Endoscopy is performed in suspected small intestinal lesions.

The Surgical Gastroenterology dept has been dealing with highly complicated cases of all age groups starting from the neonates to the geriatric patients. Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics

The Department is equipped with Video Laparoscope, Video Hysteroscope, Video Colposcope (Endovision Camera),Electron Fetal Heart Monitors and Leica Operating Microscope. Department of E.N.T.

Department of pulmonology is manned by three experienced consultant who possess the expertise in dealing with routine and specialized pulmonary problems. The department is well equipped with state of the art equipments like flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, spirometry, thosalascope and runs a respiratory intensive care unit. In addition the department has got the facilities to perform pleural biopsies, lung biopsies, pleurodesis, tube thoracostomy and thoracentesis etc. The department is also planning to establish a full fledged sleep lab.

Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care
