Presently it is Head by Dr.Tarun Kumar Saha. Equipped with the latest Haemodialysis units with RO System and Ultra Violet Water Treatment, supports the KIDNEY TRANSPLANT UNIT with immediate post-operative Isolation, CAPD, CA VH procedures and CRRT, Plasma Pheresis. While Optimum Care is been taken for Renal failure patients. Nephrology Department is dedicated to prevention of Renal Diseases e.g. Diabetes, Hypertension, Stones. The Department is conducting research in various aspects. Nephrology Department is recognized for SUPER SPECIALITY DNB DEGREE in Nephrology by the Medical Council of India.

Department of Urology

This Department offers speciality services including endoscopy surgerys to cure urinary obstruction - ESWL (Lithotripsy), PCNL and uretero renoscopy to offer a dynamic non operative treatment procedure for various stone desies. The Specialized team offers cancer cure for uro-oncology patients and routinely URODYNAMICS evaluation of bladder dysfunction and neurogenic bladders RIGISCAN. ANDROLOGY services offers specialized treatment to cure infertility besides impotency treatment using penile prosthesis insertion. Speciality instruments are used to perform Paediatric Endoscopy and for all other types of latest Laparoscopic Urological procedures.

Department of Neurology & Neurosurgery

World class treatment facility is made available in this department of Neurology using the latest equipments such as 32 Channel EEG (Medicare), Video EEG Monitoring, full-fledged Acute Neurocare Unit with Continuous Neuro-intensive EEG Monitoring. The Department manages an advanced Stroke Unit & Neuro Rehabilitation Unit, wherein a 4 Channel ENMG Machine (AMPLAID), provides speciality care. The Department operates Movement Disorder Clinic where Botolinium Toxin is given in Spasticity and Dystania.

The higly trained Neuro Surgery team, has gained rich experience in mananging Neuro Trauma in the past 10 years. The specialized services offered include Neuro Vascular Surgery - Aneurysms and AVMs, skull base surgery, Micro Neuro Surgery, Cervical Spine Surgery and Trans Sphenoidal Surgery. The Department manages the Spine Unit jointly with Department of Orthopaedics. Department of Neurology and Department of Neuro Surgery are recognised for Post Graduate DNB training by National Board of Examinations.

Department of Orthopaedics

This Department considered a center of excellence offers most advanced treatment headed by Dr. Vidyasagar has performed over 29,500 Arthroscopies besides 1400 ACL reconstructions using various grafts and 300 cases of recurrent shoulder dislocations have been set right. With twin Operation Theatres, two C-ARM image intensifiers along with a Computer. Assisted Arthroscopy Equipment over 1500 syrgeries are performed annually besides treating sports injuries, ACLR, MCLR, PCLR successfully.

300 cases of total knee Arthroplasty, 250 cases of total Hip Arthroplasty and several cases of total elbow Arthroplasty and Hemi shoulder replacements have been performed by the Joint Replacement unit.

The Trauma Unit at the hospital offers round the clock services for treating poly trauma and routine trauma patients. Spinal fractures are treated by experienced medical staff using Steffee Plating and Moss Miami instrumentations. Scoliosis (Spinal Deformities) and spinal infections (TB Spine) are also looked in to by a team of experts. Using the Ilizarov method Kamineni boasts of unequalled experience in the treatment of non-union of long bones, Limb lengthening congenital deformities (e.g. congenital fibula Hemimelia, PFFD) and communited fracture of long bones using Ilizarov ring fixators.

Treatment of Bone Tumours (Bone Cancer) is done routinely and limb slavaging surgery is done using custom made prostheses. Congenital Deformities such as Congenital Vertical Talus, CDH, PFFD and congenital radial Hemimelia are taken up by an experienced medical team.

Research and Academic Activities

Kamineni Hospitals has developed a Universal Hinged Knee Prosthesis (HTKR KHL MIDHANI) in collaboration with MIDHANI (Dept of Defence). This is used in limb salvage surgeries for tumours of bone around the knee and Neuropathic knee joints. Electron Microscopy of ACL and ACL grafts is another prestigious on-going project in association with CCMB Hyderabad.

The Department of Orthopaedics has presented 76 scientific papers at various conferences. It is rocognized for it's Ph.D programme by various universities all over the country. The Department is also an active organizer of C.M.E. programmes and workshops at national and international level in collaboration with various corresponding associations.

Department of Cardiology & Cardio-Thoracic Surgery

The Department is equipped with Automatic Treadmill (Trackmaster Automatic), Siemens Hicor Cathlab with DSA and 6 lead Color Pressure Recording Device. The speciality services include a fully equipped ICCU, Interventional Cardiology Angioplasty and Stenting, Pace Maker implantation, Percutaneous Balloon Mitrial Valvotomy. The Department of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery is routinely conducting Open Heart and Bypass Surgery. Hi-tech and fully equiped Operation Theatres with step-up and step-down ICU offer excellent patient management. Non-Surgical Closer like ASD, VSD, PDA, is done routinely. Department of Oncology

Kamineni Hospitals is a renowned Trauma Centre handling largest number of Trauma cases in its region. This Department handles Traumatology Cases and offers Emergency Services from its Super speciality Hospital at L.B.Nagar besides its Narketpally Hospital. The Hospitals extends its Trauma Service to the State & National Highways, it has networked Emergency Handling Centres all over with trained Paramedics to handle initial resuscitation before transferring the patients to the Hospital by its ambulance service which are "Hospital on wheels".

Co-ordinated services of Surgeons from the department of General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Neuro Surgery and Vascular Surgery offers Round-the-Clock care. The department is attached with Operation Theatres having C-arm, Intra Operative Ultra Sound and Doppler.
