Water

  • Drink 2 to 4 glasses of warm / cold water soon after rising from the bed.
  • Drink Minimum of 12 Glasses of water every day by drinking one glass in every two hours time which makes it up to 3litres daily.

Food

  • Eat slowly and chew well.
  • Eat according to your hunger, but fill only 3/4th of your stomach.
  • Ideal time                           for lunch               :  9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
                                                 for Dinner           :  5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Take only two meals a day (with a gap of 7 hours). Freshly prepared food is more nutritious. Stale or food preserved for  long may turn harmful.
  • Use Grains/seeds & dry fruits after soaking them over night.
  • Let one part of your meal be of cereals and the other two parts of vegetables just like that do not mix cooked food with raw food instead take raw diet in one meal and cooked in another.
  • Use only pure oil having less fat such as sunflower / gingelly oil etc.
  • Take more raw food, sprouts, fresh green-leafy vegetables / seasonal fruits and salads, juices, fresh chutney, lemon-honey water & prefer buttermilk.
  • Cooked food: Use whole flour, unpolished rice with gruel, preferably steamed food and soup.
  • Do not engage into any other serious activity while having food.
  • Decrease on the consumption of aerated or carbonated liquids.

Exercise

  • Walk or jog for at least 30minutes early in the morning
  • Yogic practices prevent diseases and prolong life.
  • Do Exercise, Play games, Gardening, Swimming etc.
  • Stroll after dinner for 15 to 20 minutes.

Rest

  • After every meal relax for 5 to 15 minutes.
  • Keep a gap of three hours between dinner and sleep.
  • Sleep on a medium / hard bed with a thin pillow.
  • Try to avoid worries and stay relaxed when you go to bed.

Vital factors

  • Breathe deep and always keep an erect posture
  • Bathe twice a day with cold/warm water.
  • Pray/meditate twice a day, once before sunrise and once at night before going to bed.

Reduce / Moderate

  • On Salt, Sweets, Chillies, Pulses(dal), Ghee, Ice cream, potatoes and nuts.
  • High heel footwear, heavy exercises, watching T.V or movies.

Avoid

  • Smoking, tea, coffee, alcohol, drugs, soft drinks and other addictions.
  • White-flour (Maida) White sugar, polished rice.
  • Non Vegetarian food.
  • Tinned/dried/adulterated/coloured/flavored/ processed/ fast food.
  • Refined/deodorized/bleached/hydrogenated(vanaspathi) oils.
  • Any unnatural kind of food and drink.
  • Late time dinner.
  • Heavy meals.
  • Very hot and very cold food.
  • Eating food under fear, worry, anxiety and when not hungry.
  • Sleeping late at night.
  • Contaminated Air/Water and loud noise.
  • Sleeping on the left side and on the back.
  • Harmful cosmetics, clothes and medicated soaps

Adopt

  • The habit of going to bed early and rising early
  • Fasting once in a week and drinking adequate water.
  • Eat to live and not live to eat.

Facts to consider

  • Food occupies the 4th place in the following requirements for living.
    1.    Fresh Air                      4.    Food
    2.    Purified Water             5.    Adequate Space and
    3.    Sunshine                     6.    Exercise/Physical work
  • Drugs are more dangerous than diseases.
  • Those that are regular in food, exercise and sleep never fall sick.
  • Fasting is an important factor in curing diseases.
  • Hurry and worry make a man sick.

Precautions

  • Wash vegetables and fruits properly before cutting, as they may contain pesticides and other harmful contaminants.
  • Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and eat them along with their peels
  • Watch TV from a considerable distance.  Blink eyes frequently while watching T.V./Computer Screen.

Remember

  • Nature not only cures but also promotes good health.
  • All Diseases start with a disturbed stomach & end by correcting the same.

Practice

  • Gargle with little warm saline water every once a day.
  • Massaging gently over the palate (roof of mouth) daily.
  • Taking massage, steam and sauna bath weekly once.
  • Spending some time in laughing and singing every day.
